What makes you excited to be a part of The Flock this year?

It’ll be great to see how the team comes together. Starting from scratch is never simple but the team has been building quite a good collection of talent. It’s also exciting to see a local team. This state has a collection of fans that are waiting for a team to call their own so now we have it.

Where did you grow up, what's your hometown like, and what brought you to Madison?

I grew up in Waukesha WI it’s a suburb of Milwaukee but it never felt like home. After going to school in Eau Claire and then moving to St. Paul MN I knew I needed to be back in Wisconsin and Madison was the right fit for me and what I wanted for my future.

Who's your all-time favorite footballer and why?

Steven Gerrard; he was the definition of a leader and he always scored the big goals when his team needed him.

What are you looking forward to most about Forward Madison's inaugural season?

First I’m happy to have a team in Madison. The team has soooo much attacking talent so I’m expecting plenty of goals.

What aspect of soccer supporter culture would you like to see in the Flock End?

Lots of singing and camaraderie. That is what makes attending a match fun. I also want to see The Flock be a presence that can’t be ignored both for the fans and the opposing players.

I’m Flock End

Because I want to show that anybody and everyone in the community can be involved and included.

Favorite place to hang out with friends in Madison?

You can’t go wrong with the terrace. La Taguara and Swagat is a go-to for restaurants. La Michoacana is a fantastic ice cream spot. Le Tigre Lounge is an underrated spot to go for drinks.

Best vacation you've ever had?

It’s tough there are so many I can think of but I think my honeymoon I had this past year was the winter. Spent a week at Madeira Island in Portugal and was able to relax, we went to Marrakesh, Morocco which had some of the best food of my life. Swung over to Barcelona saw plenty of sights and drank a lot of sangria. Then we ended it with a 20 hour layover in London where I definitely need to spend more time.

What song or album is on your heavy rotation right now?

Childish Gambino is always a go to for me. I’ve also listened to Jeffro Dean a lot it helps he’s family and he has a new album out!

What's your favorite or most memorable soccer match that you've been to?

Minnesota united against the New York Cosmos. They had been their biggest rivals whole Minnesota was in the NASL. The game seems to be a draw but Christian Ramirez was able to get a last minute goal and the dark clouds went crazy.

Which of the Forward Madison players announced so far are you most excited to see play?

JC Banks, I had seen him at Minnesota united and he was always trying to move the ball forward. I think having a Wisconsinite on the team is always a plus!
